Sam and Greg's pre wedding shoot....

Last Monday evening, we met up with Sam and Greg for their pre wedding shoot. It's been over a year since we last met so it was good to catch up on all their exciting plans for their Thornton Manor wedding. We had planned to do the shoot in Speke Hall, but when we got there we found it was closed! We quickly decided to offer them a more rugged and gritty location just a couple of minutes away from Speke Hall. Sam jumped at the idea of a more urban style shoot so we drove up to the location. We spent a fantastic hour with them and got some really special shots which we love!

The setting sun looked amazing and we used it mainly as a rim light and an SB900, in a Photoflex small octodome.  triggered by the Pocketwizard flex system as fill. We shot all the images with a Nikon D3 with a 24-70mm 2.8 and a 70-200mm VRII 2.8

After the shoot, Sam got in touch to say they had both had a great time and were really happy with the way we made them feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera. This is great because it's one of our main priorities for a PWS. It also starts to build the excitement for the big day!

Here is a video, which is around 4 mins long so please be patient, and a few stills....hope you like them!
